Col Mavi’s Young Leaders Academy (YLA) has been established with the ‘Mission’ to empower each student of ours with the required life tools so that they achieve their goals by being Self Leader’s. This self tasking at YLA encompasses empowering through training and mentoring, each and every ‘Young Defense Forces Aspirant’ at Young Leaders Academy to be ‘Ready to Lead’ in life and write his own success story at SSB and become an elite member of the Armed Forces family.
Director
YLA’s ‘Training Programme Development and Ground Execution Team,’ is led by Head of Faculty,
Col B S Mavi(Retd). He has been Deputy President 24 SSB and Interviewing Officer with 24 SSB, 31 SSB and 32 SSB. In view of his vast experience as an assessor of Personality Evaluation at SSBs, he was posted to Officers Training Academy Chennai as part of the Faculty to establish ‘Young Leaders Training Wing’, Indian Army’s SSB Training Academy, and thereafter train Indian Army soldiers for SSB success for ACC, SCO & PC(SL) Entries. The above posting was kept on hold on request of the Officer. He has also been an Instructor at College of Material Management Jabalpur, where among other training duties he was entrusted with the duties of ‘Basic Directing Staff’ to the ‘1st AOC Women Young Officers Course’. The Officer retired in May 2021 after putting in nearly 35 years of service with the Indian Army. Post retirement, he is heading the Assessors and Instructors team at Col Mavi’s Young Leaders Academy.
